Managing Director, Capricorn Fund Managers (DIFC) Limited

James is Managing Director of Capricorn Fund Managers (DIFC) Limited, responsible for expanding Capricorn’s business in Dubai and the wider region, supporting client relationships and driving new opportunities. An experienced alternatives executive, he previously served as CEO of both a multi-family office and a global long/short equity fund in London. Earlier in his career, James raised capital and led marketing for a UK-focused equity market neutral fund, which he helped launch in UCITS format while at Morgan Stanley Prime Brokerage. He initially joined Morgan Stanley in Capital Introductions, later managing distribution for the MS Fundlogic UCITS platform. Prior to this, he was at Oakley Capital, where he helped launch the Pembroke VCT Fund, having begun his finance career at ABN Amro as an equity sales trader covering UK mid and small caps. Before entering finance, James was a professional cricketer, retiring in 2007 after six seasons with Hampshire County Cricket Club. He holds a BA (Hons) from Durham University.
