The Capricorn Sanlam Collective Investments Stable Retail Hedge Fund was the first fund to be launched by Capricorn Fund Managers.
It is a purely South African equity long/short hedge strategy, investing only in Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) listed equities and derivatives.
This Fund has a conservative mandate, aiming at low risk and consistent absolute returns. Investors in the strategy include many of the pre-eminent fund of fund groups in South Africa, large domestic banking groups, major insurers and a number of high net worth individuals.
The Capricorn Sanlam Collective Investments Market Neutral Retail Hedge Fund comprises Blue Ink Vesting Trust No 37, Caveo Stable Portfolio Trust and Silver Cluster Loan Stock Company (Proprietary) Ltd.
